In fact, he said recently Extra TV who thought the idea was “crazy” when he first heard the song.
In the interview, Dennings explains that his first meeting for the series was in “a very secret conference room” and he had to sign many NDAs before entering. He added that the walls were “covered with sitcom references,” as well as comics. “I was like‘ How are you going to do it? This is madness. This concept, I had never heard before. “Of course, they got it incredibly well, but it’s hard to explain.” Dennings goes on to say that the “witness of the show” is the fact that his mother, who has never seen an Avengers movie, loves it. Recently, Dennings spoke with the Save it podcast about WandaVision and revealed that Darcy’s role was originally meant to be a couple of scenes, but his friendship with Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) inspired a bigger part.
“Because Natalie and I are already friends, I remember exactly that,” Dennings shared. “I walk into the room and I’m very shy. I went in and sat down and Natalie hadn’t gotten there yet and everyone was so nice. Natalie came in and sat on my lap because we’re friends. I think our friendship he began to infect them [like] his purity and love. Gradually, Darcy got more involved and asked me, “Why am I being added to the scenes?” “He added, ‘If I’m honest, the magic of friendship is why I’m here today.’
