WandaVision star Randall Park reveals he received a COVID-19 vaccine in September because he joined a vaccine trial

Randall Park revealed during an interview with The Talk on Friday, January 29, 2021 that he received a COVID-19 vaccine in September 2020 because he had joined the vaccine trials.

The 46-year-old TV and film star explained that he joined the trial after his friend and fellow actor Ken Jeong told him they were looking for Asian candidates for vaccine trials.

Randall did not know if he had the placebo or the actual vaccine until he was told Thursday he actually received the vaccine in September during the trials.

The actor, who plays Agent Jimmy Woo in the WandaVision Marvel / Disney + series, sat down for a virtual interview with The Talk, which aired Friday.

Randall said: “I just found out I’ve been vaccinated against Covid since September last year.”

Talk presenter Carrie Anne Inaba asked, “How did this happen?”

He explained, “By September last year I was on the phone with my friend and yours, Ken Jeong, Dr. Ken. And he was talking to me about this vaccine test that was being done and they were looking for Asian candidates. “

Ken, 51, who became famous in Knocked Up, Role Models, Community, The Hangover franchise and Crazy Rich Asians, is actually a doctor; he graduated from Duke University in 1990 and received his doctorate from the UNC School of Medicine in 1995. He completed his residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He practiced medicine in Los Angeles from 1998, but performed alongside improvisation clubs, which eventually led to television roles and movies.

He left his practice in 2006 to continue acting full time.

Randall currently stars in the Marvel / Disney + WandaVision series; became a well-known name in The Office, The Interview, Fresh Off the Boat, Aquaman and Always Be My Maybe.

He is married to actress Jae Suh Park and the couple has an eight-year-old daughter named Ruby.
