If “like you boricua” seemed like a phrase of homeland pride, it will be much more “Wapa is Puerto Rico.”
This is the motto that the television station is launching today in an interest in consolidating and celebrating ties with Puerto Rican roots, as detailed in a press release.
The new corporate identity is presented along with a 90-second “jingle” that the audience will be able to see during today’s broadcast of the “Stick to Noon” program. It will premiere, specifically, at 12:00 noon.
“We have been working for three months on this great project that we are extremely excited about and of which we are deeply proud. For years, Wapa has been the channel of Puerto Rico. The viewers have been part of his family. Puerto Rican and international talent, expanding our programming and exposing our artists in the diaspora. For those living outside Puerto Rico, we are their emotional connection to their land, “President Jordi Hidalgo commented in writing.
As part of the new image and corporate evolution, the canal facilities are labeled with the new logo that integrates the motto. Similarly, the website www.wapa.tv, social media, staff uniforms and all visual material that identifies Wapa brings with it to Puerto Rico.
“Puerto Ricans are proud of their flag and their island. With this new image, we want to celebrate the evolution of Wapa by country. We want to recognize the history of the channel, its people, the experiences we share. , show the beauties they have here and remind our viewers that they are part of our history and that Wapa is Puerto Rico, ”the executive added.

The original concept was devised by the president, while the production was led by the Promotions Department of Wapa Television. The song of the campaign was in charge of Pepe Ojeda, who wrote it and made the musical arrangement, while Juliana Ortiz created the choreography.
For this campaign Wapa’s talents were recorded around the island.
