No. Not at all.
On Monday afternoon, athletic director Phil Fulmer “retired” when the University of Tennessee announced the dismissal of head football coach Jeremy Pruitt over cause after an internal investigation found that the program committed several infractions of level I and level II recruitment. Based on Mark Stoops ’response, Tennessee’s traps were a little-kept secret.
“I have to be careful in my answer here,” Stoops told Tuesday’s edition of Kentucky Sports Radio. “Did I see him coming? Yes, I am grateful that you have arrived. Does it surprise me? Not a bit“.
Stoops was friendly with low flights. Tennessee’s deception could be the most neglected in the history of college athletics. Dan Patrick shared that Tennessee assistant coaches “put money in McDonald’s bags and gave it to recruits when they got to campus … They weren’t even trying to hide it.”
