On Saturday afternoon, a father walking with his daughter at Garrison Point Reserve in George’s Hall, Australia, was handcuffed by local police after he was found unmasked in the western suburbs of Sydney.

Images of the incident, obtained by Daily mail, shows the man sitting with his hands on his back, while his daughter wanders nearby.

“Come on guys, be fair, a little bit,” said the man who was filming. “She has a daughter here. She’s alone. Look, the girl is scared, man.”

Officers told the man filming that the father “had committed a crime.”

“He has not committed any crime: I have passed by and seen everything,” the man who was filming told police officers. The father then told police he would not speak to them until his daughter was by his side.

The agent causes the young daughter to return to her father, who then sits on her lap while sitting with handcuffs on her wrists.

The father told police he was leaving his daughter with his sister to go for a run, during which he should not wear any masks.

In New South Wales, Australia, masks are required in all public indoor venues, which include shops, offices and common areas of apartment buildings, as well as outdoor spaces unless exercised. The man was fined for not wearing a mask. New South Wales police told a Daily Mail Australia that the father had been arrested and spoken to during a COVID-19 compliance check.

“He could not provide a valid explanation or exemption,” NSW police said. “The man allegedly became verbally aggressive and aggressive towards the police as they continued with their duties,” authorities said. “Officers warned the man on several occasions about his conduct before he was arrested.”

Those found not wearing a mask over the age of 18 can receive a $ 500 fine; There are $ 80 and $ 40 penalties for younger age groups. People with an exemption must bring a medical certificate from a doctor or a legal statement.
