Foo Fighters performed his song “Times Like These” during a special “Celebrating America” in honor of the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States. Prior to the performance, Grohl gave a quick speech on professors such as Dr. Jill Biden and her mother Virginia Grohl. It is a performance that begins quietly, but that reviews. Other performers during the opening day celebrations were Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato, John Legend, Katy Perry, New Radicals and others.
Foo Fighters has released three songs since announcing their upcoming LP Medicine at midnight. They released “No Son of Mine” and “Waiting on a War” earlier this month, and “Shame Shame” debuted on SNL in November. The album will be released on February 5th.
Tonight’s Celebrating America opening act also featured performances by Bruce Springsteen, Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons, John Legend and more. Katy Perry closed the night with her hit “Firework.”
