It is now “partial” support
These are still the early days for PS5 development.
Studies are still figuring things out, and therefore “full use of the PS5,” as has been known, won’t happen for every game yet. Square Enix has confirmed so many conversations with Famitsu recently that this will apply to Final Fantasy VII Remake.
When the remake hits PS5 in a few months, it will only offer “partial” PS5 support. Tetsuya Nomura, co-director of the first part, states: “As for the adaptive activators, they are partially compatible. However, in terms of using all the features of PlayStation 5, wait for the next game where we can start from zero. “
Nomura continues to set expectations, explaining that the shooting mode of the PS5 version is simpler and “different from the Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind“Photo mode, which is broader. In other words, you can’t change the expressions or postures of party members. However, it states that you can use the” immediately “mode without esoteric unlock requirements.
It’s all about giving and taking, right? The PS5’s features are clean and all, but I don’t expect them at all from all games, let alone from one port. However, it can color your perception, if you expected Square Enix to finish it all.
