It turns out the Wu-Tang clan era something with which fk.
Wendy Williams revealed that she connected with rapper Wu Method Man sometime in the 1990s – “in the days of the coke” – during an interview with DJ Suss One that aired Thursday.
The issue was raised semi-organically as Williams, 56, discussed his past problems with cocaine, when he said: “I smoked forcefully with [Method Man] while I gave him a bath and it was a night ”. (Williams repeatedly confuses Method Man and Redman and refers to Method Man as “the leader of the world’s largest group,” who probably won’t get along well with Wu-Tang’s RZA brain).
“He will deny it, maybe not,” he added.
“That wasn’t in the movie,” DJ Suss One intervened, referring to Williams ’upcoming Lifetime biopic, which spurred his recent press tour.
Williams said the incident was left out of the film because Method Man, 49-year-old Clifford Smith, was “still very angry with me,” apparently, for the incident.
Williams said she was at a club where the clan was partying and Method Man approached her as she had been on their show before. “He had weeds, but he better,” he added.
“I guess I blinked and shrugged and said,‘ You know, do you want to come? and said ‘Yes’, Williams explained in the clip, which caused the couple’s names to be trending on Thursday night on Twitter. The two were able to leave the club without anyone noticing them and repaired Williams’ Jersey City attic, “where he bathed him in the hot tub and smoked more grass.”
“That went back to the Coca-Cola era,” he said, adding, “I don’t remember what he did, I won’t involve him in that.”
Page six has contacted Williams and Method Man to, ah, clarify? “Wendy Williams: The Movie” premieres Saturday at Lifetime.
