A photo posted on Twitter showed the man wearing a “Trump 2020” hat and a T-shirt proclaiming “Where’s Hunter / Trump 2020” while working at a West Hollywood polling station.
The Los Angeles County registrar-registrar / county secretary said he contacted the man and informed him that “the clothing was inappropriate and unacceptable.”
The office said it appeared he had already been given this information, but continued to wear the clothes.
“He was released and no longer works at the polling station,” the registry office said.
The use of political messages from any affiliation by county workers is a form of election that is not allowed at polling stations.
The person who posted the photo said it was done Monday night at an early voting center in Plummer Park in West Hollywood.
He contacted the election worker and warned him that the attire was inappropriate and unacceptable. According to his response and reports that other workers had previously advised him, he was released and no longer works at the polling station.
