West Texas dirt blows in Houston thanks to strong winds, causing dust and fog conditions

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Friday’s strong winds that hit southeast Texas have subsided, but not before bringing dust from west Texas and other neighboring states.

While air quality readings throughout the area generally continue in a moderate (healthy) range, you may see fog in the sky this morning. Video from Conroe, Houston and Galveston showed reduced visibility throughout the area.

Once the dust moves, we will see clear skies and dry conditions over the weekend, before a rain event is expected to arrive next week.
