A report highlights that by 2020, about 50% of Chinese migrants were employed as traders in the Dominican Republic, while 36% were employed in the private sector.
Research conducted by the Dominican Center for Chinese Studies (Cendoesch) highlights that 14% of migrants from the People’s Republic of China were engaged in various activities such as culinary arts, engineering, teaching and medicine.
