All U.S. Postal Service (USPS) locations will be closed on New Year’s Day and no mail will be collected from the blue pick-up boxes on January 1st. according to the USPS website.
All USPS offices and services will be operational on December 31st, New Year’s Eve, and will resume normal opening hours and services at all locations from January 2nd.
FedEx
The services offered by the courier service, except the critical service, will not work on New Year’s Day.
Some services will be available during normal business hours on December 31, including Ground, Delivery, SmartPost, Critical and Network. But others will operate on modified schedules, including Express and Freight and FedEx Office schedules, according to the FedEx website.
All services will resume as of January 2, but some FedEx offices will be on a modified schedule on January 2. Check with your local office for exact times.
