My name is Mariola Conca and next July I will be 49 years old. all the life -since it was small– I liked the sports. it was a lot skilful to do physical activity. With the support of mine pairs I practiced several disciplines: skating i bicycle. feia exercise and at the same time I was having fun with all mine friends.
At 10 I was diagnosed myopia. There I realized I couldn’t do as much sport as I wanted. However, me animava and kept me active.
Time passed and I joined the team of taekwondo from’ school. Although it always was thin and small of height I manage to be the most fast. I was looking to kick out first. That’s how I became one of the best. I won a medal of or for my school.
All my life I dreamed of compete. When someone excelled in some sport I thought to myself and looked at myself like athlete of elite. I admired the gymnasts, Cyclists, skaters and bodybuilders; they were my favorites.
en gymnastics don’t stand out. To win all this flexibility you need to practice from a very young age. with the cycling I had a drawback; my parents wouldn’t let me out because I once had an accident on the street after leaving the school. The skating? I practiced as much as mine skates they ended up totally aged. I loved them!
I grew up and one day I went to the Gym. There I met a coach who was competing. I was delighted, I lost the cap. I wanted to look strong. By 1991 I started training with weights to compete. At just 18 I climbed one tarima. It didn’t hurt me: I got two silver medals.
This – instead of demotivating me – propelled me and helped me become who I am now. In 2018 I went World Bikini Master Champion.
To stand out I improved several habits. I stopped ingesting many desserts and bread, for example. Now eat them in moderation. Good habits and the sport -I guess- he keeps me you and in shape. When people find out my age goes backwards. Obviously I love that. They make me feel like I’m doing well bears and motivate me to keep going.
What do you eat for a whole day?
In the morning I always take my green smoothie with collagen. It has many antioxidants i vitamins. I have five meals a day and three menus a week, which are coupled with the physical activity I do every day.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday I train lower train. These days I have a diet high in carbohydrates (Medium in protein and low in fat), always accompanied by vegetables. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I train superior, I have one diet average in carbohydrates (High in proteins and half in fat), also always accompanied by vegetables.
On Saturdays and Sundays I only do cardiovascular exercise. These days I resort to a diet low in carbohydrates (High in protein and low in fat), always accompanied by vegetables.
Do you resort to processing?
All my food is products Naturals: Carbohydrates (rice, potatoes, wholemeal bread, sweet potatoes, Quinoa), proteins (Eggs, chicken, fish and meat, once a week) i fats (Avocado, olive oil and nuts).
I try to drink between 3 and 4 liters of water in the day, Although sometimes I don’t get it because I leave home and it gets complicated, but I always carry my thermos.
That yes I can avoid preparing my food with fried food and do not use sugar. I do not smoke or drink alcohol.
And the sweets?
The how depending on whether or not I prepare for a competition. I eat them once a month, depending on the level I am at. I love the brownies. I enjoy the process. The idea is to be consistent and convince yourself that you can. We can all be more healthy.
