Wolverhampton coach Portuguese Nuno Espirito Santo said he was “totally confident” that his Mexican striker Raul Jimenez could return to play before the end of the season following his November skull fracture.

Jiménez (29 years old) suffered this fracture in a head-on collision with Brazilian David Luiz, in a match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London.

The Mexican has re-trained slightly and Nuno is confident of seeing him back before the English season ends on May 23rd.

“Total confidence, for sure,” Nuno replied when asked this Friday about a possible return of his footballer throughout this campaign.

Raúl Jiménez scored 27 points, taking into account all competitions, last season with Wolverhampton and in the current season he scored 7 goals in 15 games before his fracture.

Following Jiménez’s injury, Wolverhampton have won just one of their next eleven Premier League games.
