Street Fighter 5 is still technically experiencing the biggest drought without updating the balance sheet in more than a year with the release of Champion Edition, but that will change very soon.
Season 5 will set aside the new V-Shift mechanic and many other changes later tonight / tomorrow, so before that we take a look at how the final level lists for season 4 ended compared to the place where we were. last year.
The EventHubs community level list for SF5 has been pretty consistent with their top two spots for a while, with Akuma and Urien sitting, but they end the year with just a .2 difference between them.
This is the shock from where we were when Rashid and Karin ruled the school at the end of the Arcade Edition race, although they both slipped a bit, with Kanzuki’s heir barely breaking the top 10 .
Not many players identified Poison as the dominant character in the SF5 until the huge iDom Capcom Cup victory in 2019, but now he has gained much more respect after reaching number seven in the general.
However, it is Birdie who seems to have fallen further out of grace considering he was the top five at the end of season 3 and barely broke the top 20 after his nerves and many players no longer l ‘used as solo principal.
As for the two characters joining SF5 with the Champion Edition update, Seth slowly climbed up to 14th place, which is really low compared to where most professionals place them, but Gill has practically seen the opposite trajectory down.
Where the game will go in season 5 is almost any guess, but probably most can agree that there are likely to be big changes on the horizon once the new update is underway.
