• At social events, designate drivers who can’t drink and who can take everyone home safely.
• Do not serve alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.
• Call a friend or family member to go home if you’ve been drinking.
• Never pass as a passenger in a car driven by someone who has drunk alcohol, even after drinking.
• Save a taxi company phone number in your wallet so you can call home.
• You have a safety plan to spend the night at the party instead of driving home under the influence.
• Take the car keys away from friends and family who have been drinking too much.
• If you encounter a disabled driver on the road, keep a safe distance and ask the passenger to call 911 (or go to a safe place to make the call yourself).
