The global supply chain is a complex ballet of container ships, planes, trucks and trains. The coronavirus pandemic knocked her out. That’s why you often can’t buy the products you want.
Hot tub maker Bullfrog Spas saw demand increase as home consumers re-improved backyards. Yet its supply chain stretches for thousands of miles across continents and oceans. On a typical day, 40,000 gallons of chemicals, 400 sheets of plastic and up to 60,000 additional components are delivered to the Herriman, Utah factory.
“We have the best of cases on the demand side and the worst on the supply chain side,” said Bullfrog CEO Jerry Pasley.
Covid-19 infections caused by the Delta variant increase uncertainty. Supply bottlenecks, especially in ports, continue to lag behind products of all kinds.
The Bullfrog M9 spa is one of its most elaborate models. This shows how the company got confused to get it shipped, most of the time.
