Winter Project, a brutal eight-person survival / betrayal game set in the unforgivable snowy desert, has been confirmed as Switch’s release “soon.” Another Ocean Interactive, also responsible for the 3DS Minecraft and the Wii U port of Costume Quest 2, released the game on PC in February 2019 and also just announced that the game will arrive on Xbox Game Pass in late January.
Like any survival game, Project Winter offers a a lot in horrible ways to die: murdered by a bear, crushed to death by an angry moose, poisoned by berries, eaten by wolves and murdered by a teammate … who was a saboteur all the time. With proximity-based voice chat, you want to make sure you don’t walk around alone, because your friends won’t be able to hear you screaming for help if the traitors find you.

The developers have a roadmap for the game on their website, which shows “Port to Nintendo Switch” as something they would like to complete in the future, so it’s unclear how far they’re in the process of portability. The website simply lists the game as “Coming Soon.”
We will have an update when we know the date. In the meantime, why not check out similar cool survival games, The long darkness i The red lantern to practice your snow skills?
