With a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Spirit resumes operations

With 164 passengers from Fort Laurderdale, Florida, the first Spirit Airlines flight to rehabilitate this terminal arrived at 12:28 pm at Ramon Villeda Morales Airport in San Pedro Sula.

Flight NK-829 was the first low-cost US airline to land on the runway at Villa Morales after more than two months of suspending operations due to flooding caused by storms Eta and Iota.

At 1:40 pm it was takeoff of flight NK-826 with return to Fort Laudardale with 214 passengers.

The airline has reported that today, January 11, the flight from San Pedro Sula departs for Orlando, Florida, and tomorrow January 12 in Houston, Texas. On its social media, Spirit Airlines posted that passengers must be five hours before the flight in order to make the check.

The airport terminal of the Industrial Capital was opened on December 23 by domestic flights and started with CM Airlines with flights to Roatan, La Ceiba and Tegucigalpa.

Other airlines that announced the resumption of operations in the Villa Morales are Sosa, American and United arriving in Sant Pere sula on Thursday 14 January, Lanhsa on 15, Avianca on Monday 18, Air Europa arrives on 21 Madrid, Delta on 1 February, Aeroméxico on 2 and Copa on 13 February.
