The detainee will now face justice for the crime of use and possession of a false document
Patricia Elizabeth Fonseca de Guardado was detained for the past few hours, she tried to obtain her American visa by using false documents.
The prosecution detailed that the detainee, at the time of the immigration process, presented a letter allegedly issued by the Consulate of El Salvador in Virginia, but the US diplomatic headquarters detected the deception and alerted the authorities.

The detainee will now face justice for the crime of use and possession of a false document, which is punishable by a sentence ranging from three to six years in prison.
Fonseca de Guardado will be placed in court orders in the coming days to continue the due process against him for the charge attributed to him.
The US embassy has repeatedly urged applicants to use its own office services.
