Woman in a wheelchair rescued during a fire in Perkiomen Township, Pennsylvania

PERKIOMEN TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) – A woman in a wheelchair was rushed to the hospital after being trapped when a house caught fire in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

The call came around 2:30 pm for a fire on Block 500 of King Road, Perkiomen Township.

Authorities say two people left the house, but a woman in a wheelchair had to be rescued from the second floor.

The woman was rushed to the hospital. There is no immediate word on his condition.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but crews believe the flame may have started near the garage.
