Woman in TikTok Viral Video Series Finds Secret Room in New York City Apartment – CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A series of TikTok videos that began when a woman made a strange discovery in her New York apartment has captivated millions.

Like a horror film, its story began with a mysterious breeze, CBS2’s Steve Overmyer reported Thursday.

“So I go into my bathroom and … I feel like I’m blowing cold air,” the woman, named Samantha, said in a video. “You see my hair blowing in the cold wind.”

The suspense was created when he found the source.

“And the air comes from the mirror … Let me show you what I found,” Samantha said.

More than ten million people have seen his journey and been reminded that the plot of the 1992 film “Candyman” is a hole in a room behind a mirror.

“There’s a room there … I have to go in … What if someone lives in it?” Samantha said as the videos continued.

Samantha had seen enough scary movies not to investigate the stranger without preparing. He wore a flashlight on his forehead, like a miner’s cap.

The plot thickened as it passed through the hole.

“Oh my God,” she said.

The final video revealed that there was not only one room behind the mirror. There was an entire apartment.

Garbage bags and even a bottle of water inside suggested I might not be alone.

“Okay, so there are signs of life,” Samantha said.

After leaving the front door, Samantha was glad to survive the experience.

“He came out alive!” she said.

Then it sank. The apartment next door is connected through a hole in the wall.

Samantha plans to cement the mirror to the wall until the hole is fixed.

“My landlord gets a really funny phone call tomorrow,” he said.
