the popular Mexican singer Paquita la del Barrio, 73, will be announced this Monday as a pre-candidate for a local council in the eastern state of Veracruz by the party Citizen movement (MC).
According to information from the party on social media, Francisca Vivers Barradas, real name of the singer, accepted the performance and will contest for the district of the municipality of Misantla to which belongs the town of Alt Estel, where the artist was born.
The delegate of the Citizen Movement in that region of the state of Veracruz, Miguel Castell, published this weekend a video and messages where he appeared next to the singer.

“Soon we will surprise you and you will know that we make two altos together with an orange heart,” referring to the color used by this political institute, Castell said in a message.
He also warned that this Monday they will announce the news in a press conference that will be broadcast by the party social networks, of liberal ideology.
Paquita la del Barrio is known for acting rancher cut songs and of suggestive titles, which have been classified in the genre “hard and against them” to be published to men.
Among the songs that the singer has given her stamp are “Three times I cheated on you”, “Two-legged rat”, “Women rule”, “Old green rabbit”, “Evil men”, among many others.
The most famous, “Two-legged rat”, Is a hymn against the men with whom Paquita stopped singing in the bars of the popular colony (district) Guerrero and happened to the great scenes.

Castell also pointed out that Moviment Ciutadán is in talks with the television actor Francisco de la O, who, if accepted, would be a candidate for the local council for the city of Xalapa, capital of the state of Veracruz.

The entity, based in the Gulf of Mexico and the fourth most populous in the country, has been hit by violence and insecurity for decades due to clashes between criminal groups seeking control of the territory.
