This happens in the post-credit scene of Wonder Woman 1984
The scene begins with a woman walking through a crowded street market. She’s back to the audience, but they make us believe she’s Wonder Woman because of her dark, wavy hair.
The woman prevents a falling beam from hitting a baby in a stroller. The girl’s mother calls her and asks her to thank the stranger. The woman turns around and reveals that it is not Diana Prince, but another Themysciran called Asteria.

The mother praises his name and Asteria shares that it is a name of his culture. When asked how she was able to save her daughter, Asteria says, “It’s just a simple weight change. It requires practice. But I’ve been doing this for a long time.”
Asteria then winks at the camera and leaves. The scene then ends, announcing the role of Lynda Carter as Asteria in the film.

Lynda Carter played the heroine during three seasons, from 1975 to 1979. The series began on ABC before moving to CBS for the past two seasons.
The actress recently recalled that her own daughter fell in love with Gadot’s version of the iconic Warner Bros. character in a virtual event DC Fandome in August.
“Mom, I finally understand. I finally understand why everyone idolizes you,” he said, recalling his conversation.
It is quite appropriate for the film to reveal that Carter was Asteria. In case you forgot, Diana (Gal Gadot) mentions Asteria earlier in the film to Steve. She tells him that Asteria was the best warrior of the Amazons.

“My people gave up all their armor to make their suit strong enough to face everyone,” Diana added. “Asteria sacrificed herself for a better day for others.”
Asteria allowed the Amazons to flee to Themyscira, An island that is only inhabited by women that is seen at the beginning of “Wonder Woman 1984”. As Diana speaks, we briefly see a flashback that only shows Asteria’s eyes as the men surround her with their golden armor.
Diana tells Steve that she has been looking for him since 1918, but that he could only find her armor. He uses it at the end of the film to confront Barbara Minerva, Who, at this time, has become the main enemy of Wonder Woman, Cheetah.
Will Asteria be in the new Wonder Woman movie?
Does this character ever appear in comics? Yes, but he is a different character. Asteria is mentioned twice in DC Comics.

In a later issue of the “Justice League,” Diana says she bears the name of one of her Amazon sisters who “fought the gods.”
In this sequel, Diana hinted that she had been searching for Asteria without success for years. If there’s another “Wonder Woman” movie, maybe a third installment of them will reconnect.
It is currently unclear if Warner Bros. is planning other “Wonder Woman” projects, and in that case it would probably take some time if Patty Jenkins return to the helm. He recently announced that he is working on a movie “Star Wars” for Disney.
