LINTHICUM, Md. (WJZ) – A written threat prompted a large police presence at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport on Monday night, officials said.
Southwest Airlines flight 2104 from Phoenix to Baltimore landed at BWI around 5:15 p.m., at which time law enforcement investigated what an airport spokesman called a “suspicious message.” .
The specific details of the threat were not immediately available.

The plane had 101 passengers and crew on board, the airport said.
“With great caution, the plane was parked in a remote area of the airfield,” the airport said in a statement on Twitter. “Passengers were safely unloaded from the plane to the shuttle buses and taken to the airport terminal.”
Officials later found the threat unbelievable.
“Our crew followed the protocol by notifying the competent authorities and moving the plane to a remote location while waiting for further instructions. Authorities quickly arrived and boarded the plane, transporting the 97 passengers and six crew members to buses to be transferred to the terminal, “a spokesman for the Southwest said.
