Colombian actress, model and presenter Ximena Duc had to be rushed to Miami Hospital for a pneumonia-derived picture of COVID-19. Duke herself confirmed the news through a series of videos posted on her Instagram stories.
Ximena Duque is pregnant, expecting the birth of her third child. Therefore, her gynecologist recommended her transfer to Miami Hospital, so that the baby’s development in the womb does not suffer from alterations that could be irreversible.
Jay Adkins, husband of Ximena Duque, and her daughter Luna, who is about to turn three, had also been diagnosed with COVID-19. The father and his daughter are already recovering from the disease. The Colombian actress and presenter, however, could not overcome this bilateral pneumonia (it affects both lungs), so she had to require new treatments.
“I spent a couple of days in the hospital. I was at home, resting, caring, but it was already many days of fever and my gynecologist asked me to go to the hospital already,” he explained.
“I arrived at the hospital with a picture of pneumonia in both lungs, a normal picture for COVID patients, but in my case, being pregnant is a little more delicate, because the treatment may not be so aggressive, ”Ximena Duc added in her Instagram stories.
Ximena Duc’s baby is in good condition
Ximena Duc had to be rushed to Miami Hospital. The Colombian actress is pregnant, so the alarms went off around her health. However, it was she herself who confirmed that the baby she is expecting is in good health.
According to what was reported in their Instagram stories, doctors noticed that “the baby’s fluid” had severely decreased as a result of the pneumonia that affected the mother. For this reason they had to apply serum to it, to improve the state of the creature to be born and to avoid therefore the instance of “induced part”.

Jay Adkins, husband of Ximena Duc, posted a video to express the hard time her family is going through after the Colombian actress was rushed to Miami Hospital with a picture of bilateral pneumonia derived from VOCID -19.
“Our home was flooded by COVID-19,” the employer began the video.

Ximena Duc shared the video of her husband and specified more details in this note about her own state of health: “It is very easy to criticize and assume that we are infected by irresponsible, or because we do not use masks etc, etc. The reality is that those who are close to us know how for almost a year we have taken care of ourselves and taken extreme measures to avoid this terrible nightmare … I did not even go out to do my eyelashes without being shown a negative test, but no matter how much care we had unfortunately it was just enough that one person in our family circle will start with symptoms, come out positive and from there we all fell ”.
Ximena Duc had been diagnosed with COVID in early January
On January 10, the magazine HELLO! USA confirmed that Colombian actress and presenter Ximena Duc had been diagnosed with coronavirus. Her husband, Jay Adkins, and their youngest daughter, Luna, were also positive.
At this time, the family of the Colombian star begins home confinement. The care had to be extreme, as the actress is in the last stretch of her third pregnancy.
