The Cardinals reached an agreement Tuesday for a contract extension of. a year with Puerto Rican receiver Yadier Molina. According to a report by Katie Woo of The Athletic, the deal is $ 10 million.
Molina, 39, has spent his entire 18-year career with the Cardinals, winning nine Golden Gloves and two World Series (2006, 2011).
Last year, Molina was a free agent during the winter, but ended up returning to St. Louis with a campaign pact and $ 9 million.
