DETROIT – Health officials announced Friday that Ford Field is becoming one of 20 mass vaccination sites in the country.
On Monday, the first appointments for the mass vaccination site were expected to open. But a last-minute change suspended the process until 5:45 p.m.

Michigan residents can now enroll in the COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Ford Field in Detroit. The vaccination site will officially open on March 24th.
After registering, residents will receive an invitation by voice or text message when it is time to make an appointment. The Ford Field site will operate from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., seven days a week.

Residents who do not have Internet access or need help can use the MDHHS COVID-19 hotline to register. Call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday or Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The vaccine will be offered at no cost and no insurance is required. Free parking will be available at the vaccination site.
