Young children were found dead inside the car at S Carolina daycare

Investigators say twin boys have been found dead inside a car in the parking lot of a South Carolina daycare

BLYTHEWOOD, SC – The twin babies were found dead inside a car in the parking lot of a South Carolina nursery on Wednesday, authorities said.

Some called 911 after finding the babies at Sunshine House Early Learning Academy on U.S. Highway 21 in the Columbia suburb of Blythewood, researchers said.

The victims were twins and babies, Naida Rutherford, a forensic investigator in Richland County, told reporters.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday morning and Rutherford said he planned to release more information about the babies later.

Deputies were also investigating the deaths. They said it is unclear if there were nursery workers involved in the deaths.

Authorities would not disclose any other details.
