Zack Snyder’s Justice League sequels and spin-offs do not appear to be part of DC Films’ future roster.

Although WarnerMedia and HBO Max have thrown in millions Justice League of Zack Snyder, the project is shaping up to become a definite theme, at least for now. Sunday morning, the New York News shared a profile of DC Films director Walter Hamada, where the producer outlined his suit’s plans for the foreseeable future. There is a follow-up absent from the plans, substantially absent from the plans Justice League Snyder Cut, in the form of sequelae or derivations.

In fact, the Time profile describes the project as a “cul-de-sac of storytelling,” suggesting that Snyder no longer has a place in the future of DC Films. “At least for now, Mr. Snyder isn’t part of DC Films’ new plan, as studio executives describe his HBO Max project as a cul-de-sac, a street that doesn’t lead nowhere “, Times’ Brooks Barnes writes.

This future, Hamada says, is an extensive cinematic multiverse where filmmakers can use characters from any timeline their story requires.

The Snyder Cut was officially lit green earlier this year after a multi-year campaign was successful. Snyder and Warner Brothers initially clashed with their view of the film, one that the studio considered too dark.

“The truth is that the ‘Knightmare Sequence’ of this film, it was my idea that all this would end up being told, is it a surprise? And that we would end up in a distant future where Darkseid has taken over the Earth, and where Superman has succumbed to Anti-Life [Equation]”Snyder said about the mockery last year.” And there were some members of the Justice League who survived that world and were fighting, Batman and a broken half of Cyborg; there’s only half of it because of what happened – They were working on an equation to jump back in and tell Bruce … those were the things we were trying to do. And in the studio, they were still in great appearance, but the depth of how and why everyone was angry with each other …

Justice League by Zack Snyder will hit HBO Max in March 2021.
