Whenever you receive a new message with Announce Siri Messages, the digital wizard will politely interrupt what you do when you listen to AirPods to read your incoming text or texts. It’s a great feature, but it’s not for everyone. Here’s how to manage it.

On iOS, go to Settings> Siri and search> Report messages. To turn off the feature completely, tap the switch next to “Announce messages with SiriYou can also tap the switch next to any app in the list to turn off the feature for that app only. If you tap “Messages,” you’ll not only find that switch, but you can also choose whether Siri will announce Favorites messages, Recent, Contacts or Everyone.
