The game, created by Polish developer CD Projekt Red, has been extensively reviewed since its release on December 10, with users reporting bugs and crashing, especially on older game consoles. CD Projekt Red had already offered to reimburse customers who were not satisfied.
Those who have purchased the game will continue to receive support and updates, the tweet added.
“We are working hard to get Cyberpunk 2077 back on PlayStation Store as soon as possible,” he said.
The company issued a statement Monday apologizing for the problems with the game. A round of updates has been released and a second round will be held on December 21, according to the statement, which will continue with two “big patches” in January and February.
Cyberpunk 2077 was originally due to expire in April, but experienced a series of delays that left fans wondering when they would get the title.
Cyberpunk 2077 players play a role as a nomad, a street kid, or a corporate employee who travels the city at night completing missions in a world dominated by corporations.
It includes V (a customizable male or female character) who has a malware-infected biochip in his head. This malicious program takes the form of Johnny Silverhand, with the voice of actor Keanu Reeves.
