TikTok star Charli D’Amelio and his family head to Hulu.
The controversial 16-year-old teenage dance sensation, who has more than 100 million followers on TikTok, will join her family in the eight-episode reality series “The D’Amelio Show.”
The series will feature Charli, her 19-year-old sister Dixie, father Marc and mother Heidi as they navigate their near-night fame and life in Los Angeles.
“We are thrilled to be part of the Hulu family with a unique look at our lives behind the scenes,” Marc D’Amelio said in the Hulu press release.
“We have always been a very close family, but this experience has brought us even closer and makes us very excited to share a vision of our lives with the world,” he continued. “A lot of people create impressions about us from short content, few minutes or even seconds. But now we hope to share a side you probably won’t be able to see on our social channels. “
Charli may have millions of followers, but he is also a polarizing figure. Along with her sister Dixie, she recently angered the Internet (and lost more than a million followers) for her snobbish attitude in a November video where she and Dixie mocked her family’s personal chef, Aaron May.
He later defended himself by saying, “I’m a good person with a good heart.”
“The D’Amelio Show” does not yet have an announced broadcast date.
