An investigation into the death of Cpl. Hayden Allen Harris is underway, the Criminal Investigation Command said in a press release.
On Sunday, it was announced that Harris was found dead and the vehicle he was said to have been located. No other information about the investigation was released.

Harris, of Guys, Tennessee, was posthumously promoted to the rank of corporal and was awarded the Army Recommendation Award, according to a Fort Drum statement. He joined the Army in March 2019 and completed training in Fort Benning, Georgia, before arriving in Fort Drum. He was assigned to Troop C, 1st Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Drum.
