“Thank you universe for allowing me to be here and thank you to everyone who has supported me. 2020 was a different year than any other,” Van Ness wrote. “I campaigned and got involved more politically. I ended my tour of Australia and New Zealand so I didn’t know it would be my last stand-up program for anyone who knows how long.”
He then surprised fans with the news, writing, “I married my best friend and I have a loving partner with whom to continue building my life.”
Van Ness’s “Queer Eye” stars, who knew the couple, went to the comments section to congratulate the happy couple.
Tan France said, “Happy New Year, Jackaaay! I love you. Here we hope next year is much better and we can finally celebrate your wedding.”
Karamo Brown commented. “Yes, we can finally celebrate it publicly! So happy for you !!!!!! One of the most beautiful couples in the world. I love you and happy new year @jvn.”
Antoni Porowski focused on another part of the post, joking, “Do you expect to have a dog?!?!?!”
Van Ness ended his wishes by saying he hoped to see his mother in 2021.
