Officials did not release his cause of death. But it wasn’t due to Covid-19, said his publicist and lifelong friend Mike Pingel.
“I’m devastated, I’ve been a friend of Tanya’s for over 20 years,” Pingel told CNN. “She was full of energy and we always spent some wild time together. She was really an angel and I will miss her so much.”
Roberts was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Dec. 24 after she collapsed at her home in California after a morning walk with her dogs, Pingel told CNN.
He died on Sunday.
Born Victoria Leigh Blum, Roberts began her career as a model before entering film. After 30 years of career in film and television.
She starred in the cult favorites “The Beastmaster” and “Sheena: Queen of the Jungle.” And he appeared on several well-known television shows of the time, including “Fantasy Island,” “The Love Boat” and a season of “Charlie’s Angels” as one of the three main characters.
Then came his most iconic role to date. In 1985 he played geologist Stacey Sutton in ‘A View to a Kill’, opposite Roger Moore on his last outing as 007.
He then won a new legion of fans during his turn as Midge, Pinciotti’s wife’s mother, on “That 70s Show.” But she suddenly left situational comedy in her fourth season to care for her husband who had been diagnosed with an illness. (He returned in later seasons as a recurring character.)
Her last screen appearance was in 2005 on the TV series “Barbershop.”
