Millions of people have spent time in their forties with Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s a great way to experience a little normalcy and get together virtually with friends and family. Apparently, it’s also a good way to foster a relationship.
Steven Brown picked up a Switch and Animal Crossing: New Horizons at the start of the pandemic in order to get his mind off things and relax a bit. He got caught up in the game, which eventually led him to post on a Facebook group with other fans. Brown had amassed a lot of bells and wanted to share them with some virtual friends. A stranger from the Facebook group decided to accept the offer, so they practically met for the exchange.
Instead of ringing the bells and ringing the day, the stranger who met Brown took him on a tour of his island. This resulted in a friendship that only grew over the months. The two continued to be within the game and texting, which eventually paved the way for a more serious relationship. The two got so close that they ended up meeting in person and it obviously went pretty well.
Now the two are engaged to get married and it’s all thanks to their mutual love for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Now the question is … will the wedding be in person or at Animal Crossing ?!
