WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday approved an order to expand coronavirus testing requirements for nearly all international air travelers beginning Jan. 26, inform Reuters informed sources on the subject.

The new rules will require that all passengers 2 years of age or older bound for the United States obtain negative COVID-19 test results within three calendar days of the trip. The CDC will consider temporary exemptions from testing requirements for travelers from some countries with little or no testing capacity, sources said.
