Apple hopes to drop the touch bar on the 2021 MacBook Pro models

According to a reputable analyst, Apple will leave the “touch bar” of the next batch of MacBook Pro computers to return to the physical keys.

MFI-Chi Kuo, of TFI Securities, writes this week that the iPhone maker has stopped neglecting the almost unloved feature after five years, as the long, thin, interactive video strip on keyboards MacBook Pro never became the revolutionary tool that Apple first launched. 2016.

But control keys aren’t the only major change Apple is making to its 2021 MacBook Pro line, according to a MacRumors report.

The upcoming 14- and 16-inch laptops will see a design change that will eliminate the curved edges that teams have had over the past 5 years in favor of a flatter cut design like the new iPhone 12 family.

They’ll also add more port types instead of the USB-Cs they’ve limited themselves to in recent years, which means consumers won’t have to buy expensive dongles to connect different cables and devices to their MacBook.

Apple is also recovering its MagSafe charging connector after abandoning it when it introduced USB-C to the MacBook. In earlier MacBook models, MagSafe allowed chargers to quickly enter and exit the computer using magnets.

Shares of Apple rose slightly Friday morning, trading at $ 129.39.
