Whether you just broke down a new PC or you have recently updated your software, when you first start your computer with Windows 10, there are some settings and default settings that you want to enable to ensure the best User experience.
First, sign in to your Microsoft account to sync your previous settings, and save your new settings to Windows 10. Then check for updates, if you’ve just upgraded to an earlier version of Windows 10, you’ll want to do this to make sure you have the latest version of everything. To stay up to date, sign up for Windows Insider to access the latest features.
Here is the next round of settings you want to change:
- Go to Visualization and retouching Night light mode to adjust the color temperature of the screen during dark hours.
- Go to Notifications and actions to disable all of these Microsoft alerts.
- Go to Storage and turn on No Storage to keep your system clean.
- Once your applications are installed, go to Taskbar and “Select which icons will appear on the taskbar” so that everything looks clean.
- Similarly, go to Applications and click Home to decide which applications will start automatically when the computer starts, which should be only one or two at most.
