The Wells Fargo Center has had an empty feel in the 2020-21 season. The Philadelphia 76ers have been fantastic; they are sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference rankings. But no fan has taken it because of the restrictions of COVID-19, and Joel Embiid has had to fidget in empty spots after big games.
That may change as of Monday, March 1: the state of Pennsylvania allows 500 fans for covered events. It won’t be close to the 20,000 more the Sixers usually tie, but it will feel good to have a number of fans in the building for what has been an entertaining season.
Philadelphia is 14-2 at the Wells Fargo Center so far this season, and there’s no doubt the fans would go crazy as long as Embiid has a great night or Ben Simmons throws a big hit. It will be nice to have passionate Philadelphia fans in the sand.
