Musk’s Putin club calls for a “misunderstanding,” the Kremlin says

The Kremlin believes Elon Musk’s invitation to Vladimir Putin to chat on the popular Clubhouse app was a “misunderstanding” after the billionaire never responded to a follow-up consultation, spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

“Apparently, there was some kind of misunderstanding,” Peskov told reporters. “This issue is likely to be exhausted.”

The CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX tweeted on Feb. 14 in English and Russian on the Kremlin’s official Twitter account, asking if the Russian president wanted to accompany him to a conversation at the Clubhouse.

Then, Peskov he called it “certainly a very interesting offer,” but said the Kremlin needed more details. However, there was no apparent follow-up on Twitter.
