You could present many different arguments about why “Maneater” released in 1982, it became virtually instantaneous Dar’s biggest hitthe collaborative career of yl Hall and John Oates. There’s that bass rhythm that opens, of course, that opens in your head even before the grumpy keys can start. There is the abrupt and sensual nature of the song (vaguely misogynistic)) letters, belted by Hall like a haunted man. And of course there’s Charles DeChant’s saxophone, attractive and cunning, which keeps the whole track together.

Now we can – and we are indebted to Oates for drawing attention – add: “It is not played by a sasquatch playing saxophone while trying to replicate some kind of half-body EDM rhythm” to the reasons why “Maneater” works. Soo good. And if you don’t believe us, well, you can continue watching the following Monstercat Instinct video, in which Oates and “Saxsquatch ”plays a song that, to paraphrase Douglas Adams, sounds almost, but not quite, unlike“ Maneater ”.

For all we know, SaxsQuatch can be a really great saxophonist for a sasquatch. But compared to DeChant, we have to admit it’s fair it is not yet ready for the protagonists. Meanwhile, Oates reminds us why he is better known as the guitarist for Hall And Oates, and not, for example, the singer. The end result is, at best, harmless, and only then, when you’re not constantly reminded that you might hear “Maneater”.

But even beyond the song, we find that our minds are saved with questions. “Because?” it is the first, of course, bitter and unanswered. But then, a deeper self-examination / sasquatch attack begins: “Why did this duo feel the need promote the video with a Forbes interview, which contains the immortal lineDo you know that an interview is special when Saxsquatch has Oates and myself? ”“ It’s the involvement that Saxs havequatch is, to himself, a dining room, and will Oates disorderly devour once the recording is over? “” Why the shit there are few cartoons Do Daft Punk robots dance in the video? “These are the issues that keep us up at night to wear us down and make us weak.

And that’s how Saxs arequatch and poses.
