When we think of Ryan Murphy American Horror Story, certain terms appear immediately in the mind. “Accuracy.” “Laser Focus”. “That guy with the piercing penis who does terrible things to Max Greenfield.” And yet, it seems that Murphy and his regularity as actors — who now feature Macaulay Culkin, natch — may be a shocking shock, dividing his attention a bit for the show’s upcoming installment. That is, the tenth season of AHS its title has now been formally announced: Dual function.
In addition to getting it immediately “Dual function of science fiction” put in our head, thank you, Ryan—The title also alludes to what will apparently be a forked structure for the new season, with a story “by the sea” and the other “by the sand.” Of course, the FX promotion department conveyed this idea by showing a video of a beach, which is both sea i sand, so … Hmm.
It’s not the first time AHS has divided his approach formally, of couse; the series is pleased to occasionally screw up with its own format, especially with the Roanoke season that went from a fake documentary story to a horror at the time. It’s also fair it’s been a minute as the show once again made its extreme version of camp terror on television; last season 1984, wrapped in all its VHS-y glory in 2019. There’s still no word on when, exactly, Dual function They can be expected to debut, but regulars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy and many more are expected to return to the bloody fold.
