Honey, I stormed the Capitol.
Movie star “Rick Moranis” was in vogue on Sunday on Twitter, after the FBI posted a photo of a different man who allegedly participated in the January 6 Capitol riot and bore some resemblance to the ‘actor at his peak.
“You can help the #FBI identify people involved in the January 6 violence at the U.S. Capitol. Visit http://tips.fbi.gov if you recognize that person. Reference photo 268 on your board.” he tweeted from the FBI Sunday afternoon next to two photos.
Twitter users quickly noticed the similarities between the helmeted suspect and the star of “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids,” who responded in dozens with screenshots of the Star Wars parody of space. 1987, “Spaceballs”, in which Moranis played glasses and a giant helmet. a parody of Darth Vader called “Dark Helmet.”
“Hey, I think that guy did something to my dentist! He works in a small street shop and has this weird plant! ” replied the mocking user, referring to Moranis’ role as a naive florist with a man-eating plan in the 1986 film “Little Shop of Horrors.”
Moranis hit the headlines in October when a stranger surprised him outside his Manhattan apartment, and on Sunday he directed more than one Twitter commenter to say, “Rick Moranis hasn’t suffered enough?”
