TThe new MagSafe charge of the iPhone 12 is a marquee feature, but there’s one thing no one ever mentions: Separating your phone from a charger is not easy, which means when you grab the device and forget that it is charging, you may pull the cord a little too hard. The nomadic solution the problem is a 1.5-pound solid steel spring for Apple’s wireless charger that takes advantage of gravity to easily break MagSafe’s magnetic clamp.

The MagSafe Mount seems like it could be the simplest and most powerless way to improve the usability of Apple’s MagSafe charger without physically attaching the drive to the surface of a desk or bedside table. Even the installation seems easy enough. The MagSafe charger drops to a precisioncut the hole in the top of the MagSafe bracket, where it is securely fastened using a non-permanent microsuction tape that allows the disc is removed when necessary.

The charging cable goes to the base of the MagSafe Mount, and that’s all there is to it. When an iPhone 12 is placed on top, it automatically aligns and attaches to the wireless charging disc, but when users grab the device, the force of gravity that drags the 1.5-pound stainless steel spring is stronger than MagSafe’s magnetic grip, which ensures that all but the phone is well planted where it is.

It is a simple solution, but a not cheap at $ 50. That does not take into account the cost of any wireless charging hardware:all you get is a piece of heavy steel. So why not just use this microsuction tape to secure Apple’s MagSafe charger directly to a desk or table? Well, rcharger positioning when it comes to a sticker it’s not as easy as moving around Nomad’s MagSafe mount. There is also the risk that the sticker will obstruct the finish of a desk or table. The Nomad mount has a giant non-slip rubber band on the bottom that should protect any surface on which it sits.
