We know those from Apple AirTags must surely exist, because Credible rumors and leaks about them have been creeping into our news it feeds what seems like forever. The latest rumor, however, it brings some hope that we can see these things in our lives.

In accordance with TechCrunch, Apple released a new version Find the My Certification app the weekend. The application allows third-party device or accessory manufacturers to test the performance of their products with the Find My app. This happens with the heels of iOS 14.5 beta activating an “items” tab in the application i filtered renderings a dollar-sized device is shown that allegedly costs $ 39. FThe inding code within an iOS version and versions are good enough tracks on their own that a company is working on something, but that doesn’t mean these features or products will ever see the light of day. Maybe a developer forgot to delete something, and meinternal yields can look drastically different from the final product.

A more reliable indicator is when companies start opening things up to third parties. In general, this means everything that is in development is about to end, and it’s time for third-party accessory manufacturers to tear themselves apart. According to TechCrunch’s application screenshots, you can test connectivity, sound, firmware, key management, NFC and power.

Technically speaking, Apple said it would add third-party support Find My to WWDC 2020. Much of this probably comes from Tile’s long tradition. beef with Apple, in which the company assumed that Apple was acting as a gatekeeper to further its own interests. (In this case, the AirTags that aren’t seen yet.) In early January, there were reports that Tile was also working on a new broadband bandcompatible trackers. This is important, as Apple has been quietly plugging its U1 UWB chip into several of its newest products, including the Apple Watch Series 6 and the HomePod Mini. Why do all this if you find my network it was not will it appear in the relatively near future?

But when ?? When will we see these things ?! We know they exist and are about to be done because all the evidence points in that direction. It’s been almost a year since Apple did an oopsie and leaked his own YouTube tutorial referring to my network and AirTags. Since then we’ve been talking about AirTags at least 2019 and now it’s 2021. I can’t stress how many times Gizmodo’s consumer technology team has held their collective breath during Apple’s gazelle events last fall, wondering if we’d finally see the damn things. In late February, rumors began to swirl that Apple would finally keep up a March event to display the new iPads and wait for the AirTags.

As we all know, is now April. There are no AirTags yet, but there are many rumors about AirTag.

Again, third-party access is a much more encouraging signal, so there are plenty of reasons to expect the long wait to end soon. But please, Apple, get us all out of our misery and release the AirTags. Free us from this purgatory of products! After all, we still have years of rumors about headphones and Apple Car to last. Sob.
