Sinovac Biotech (SVA.O) has supplied 260 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine worldwide, with more than 60% to countries outside China, Yin Weidong, the company’s chief executive, said on Tuesday.

The company produces more than 6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine a day, Yin said at the Boao annual forum for Asia, the region’s response in Davos.

“We plan to select ten countries for technology transfer as soon as possible,” Yin said, adding that the current cross-border joint production is insufficient.

Sinovac has received orders abroad for a total of more than 450 million doses of its CoronaVac vaccine, according to Reuters calculations, with Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey and Chile among the largest buyers.

Sinovac has already outsourced some vaccine production procedures to partners in countries such as Brazil and Indonesia.

At least 160 million doses of the vaccine have already been administered worldwide, Yin said.
