A hacker group called REvil has stolen and released product plans from Apple vendor Quanta Computer and has other plans under a $ 50 million bailout, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

According to reports, hackers released details of the design of a new MacBook on Tuesday, when Apple was holding a product event for new devices, such as the iMac, iPad Pro and an updated Apple TV.

An Apple spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

If hackers have the files, it could mean that some of Apple’s hardware plans may come to light before Apple is ready to announce those devices. Apple is likely to have many new devices in operation, from expected products such as new iPhones and computers to completely new device categories, such as augmented reality glasses. Quanta Computer builds some of Apple’s Mac products.

Quanta confirmed an attack on Bloomberg and said he works with law enforcement. The company also said there is no material impact on the business operation of the company.

REvil reports that it has other product plans and will continue to publish photos and documents of future Apple devices on a daily basis unless Apple pays the $ 50 million ransom.
