After more than a year of working and schooling from home, you may be thinking it’s time to freshen up your monitor. Dell has announced its range of new screens that you can combine with your laptop or desktop, including a thinner laptop screen than Apple iPad Air.
The portable monitor is a 14-inch FHD IPS display with a 16: 9 aspect ratio, making it ideal for watching videos and projecting multiple screens. It’s 4.95mm thick and about 1.3 pounds, which makes it incredibly portable. There is also a tilting support on the back that allows you to orient it between 10 and 90 degrees. It connects via USB-C and costs $ 350, about an iPad mini or, in the realm of Android, a mid-range tablet like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. It will be available for purchase at the end of the month.
Portable monitors clearly pass a moment. Lenovo recently announced its entry into the space of the portable monitor with half Android device, half external screen. It has a huge battery inside to fit both use cases, plus a micro HDMI port built into the side of the device. Other companies like Asus and some independent brands also offer portable monitors at a much lower price than Dell.
Dell announced a range from other monitors, too. There are two new 24- and 27-inch monitors for video conferencing, with built-in 5-megapixel cameras. They also have noise-canceling microphones and 5W speakers, so you don’t have to carry headphones on all calls or in digital classrooms. Both monitors support AMD FreeSync, which helps synchronize gaming and video playback between monitors and have 75 Hz refresh rates. They cost $ 440 and $ 600, respectively, and will be available Sept. 7.

There are also two 27-inch USB-C monitors connected, one of which features 4K UHD resolution. Both monitors stream audio, video, and data while charging an external laptop of up to 65 W. The regular monitor costs $ 500, while the high-resolution variant is priced at $ 620 and both are available now.
